For the past 15 years or so our amazing community of friends has been taking wonderful retreats away together. For years we would rent a big house for New Year's and other occasions in order to get out of the city, spend time together as a community, teach each other workshops, and of course, to party. Then about six years ago something happened. Everyone starting having kids! Needless to say, our days of retreat started to fade away. Until now! A new chapter has officially begun.
This past weekend we took a trip up north to the Saratoga Springs Retreat Center to celebrate 11-11-11. We reunited, out of town together, but this time with all of the children. There were about 45 adults and 25 kids in attendance. It was SO AWESOME. Xander had a great time and although he is not the youngest member of our tribe, he was the youngest at this event. He was a big smily hit with all of his new friends and had some quality time with his four other baby friends born recently.
Here is one of our group photos!
Here are some shots from our road trip along the way...
Here is the evidence of the ridiculous amount of cuteness that we suffer through on a daily basis around here... I can hardly take it.
Alexander is six and a half months old now! He weighs 19 lbs and 4 oz and his favorite activity is definitely jumping!
Last weekend the three of us took a road trip to LA to visit Xander's brothers, Lief (9) and Seth (5). We had a blast! Xander got to snuggle and play a ton with the boys and even got to see his first big screen flick, "Puss in Boots." He actually sat and watched it for the first hour! He also got to see Lief play in a soccer game and Seth doing karate for the first time.
Being six months is so much fun :) We have been going to the park a lot and getting into all sorts of good stuff.
This is X trying Avocado a week later. Yuck!
And sweet potato a week later. Gag!
And Applesauce with his cereal on Nov 1. Yummy!!!
This is Xander eating his first food, rice cereal. He liked it!
